Asus to release boot unlocker for Transformer Prime Tablet

The ASUS transporter prime, with its clever add on keyboard was one of the Android Tablets marked as the netiPad killer, but like so many before it failed to live up to expectations.

After a monumental consumer backlash after it was discoverd Asus locked down the Prime’s bootloader, ASUS have agreed to release a boot unlocker and Android 4.0 will be available for the device in mid January 2012.

The Asus Transporter Prime has been riddled with problems since its release in late December 2011 including issues with GPS functionality and WiFi capabilities.
